travel towards Lyon and then across to Grenoble and on towards the
mountains. For directions from the airports see below.

Depending on where you are traveling from there are flights
with no-frills operators, or if you are like us and prefer
scheduled flights to Lyon and Geneva regularly from most major UK
airports.
Directions from Airport:
To get to the resort by car takes 1 hour from Grenoble or 1.5
hours from Lyon. We haven’t tried it yet from Chambery or
Geneva, but guess it is 1.5 from Chambery and maybe 2/2.5 from
Geneva.
If you are travelling from Lyon follow the signs to Grenoble
(A43 then A48, then to the A480), and from there to the N85 to
Vizille. Be warned that the road from Grenoble to Vizille
(A480/N85) gets extremely congested at peak times which means
Saturdays and often Sundays.
If you want to avoid this section of the road try getting off
the A480 after Junction 4 signed N87 Chambery and then get off
the N87 at Junction 5 which is the “Route Napoleon” starting at
Eybens which takes you over the mountain to Vizille. It takes 20
mins longer but could save you over an hour.
From Vizille head towards Bourg D’Oisans on the N91, but approx
10KM before Bourg D’Oisans turn left to Allemont on the D44
and then next to the lake start the climb in to Oz (Station).
